patricia mou

is a designer, writer, and cultural weaver exploring how spaces and social architectures can help us live with more meaning, coherence, and connection. I'm interested in how places (physical, digital, and symbolic) can invite people to pause, reflect, and remember what matters. I often refer to this as designing "mystical commons" or "4th spaces" - public-yet-intimate environments for communal meaning-making, presence, and pluralistic inquiry.

I'm currently exploring this as the co-founder of The Commons↗ and masters student at the Harvard Graduate School of Design studying urban design & philosophy. I also curate digital portals of wonder through my newsletter, rabbit holes. In a prior chapter, I led product at Calm (the meditation app) and other early stage start-ups.
